The Inside the Beltline Raleigh NC Real Estate market update for January 2014 iis sending mixed messages to buyers and sellers. The decrease in inventory is a clear win for "sellers" who have less homes to compete with and in certain neighborhoods they are able to increase the asking price as a result...however, the increase in days on market and the small decline in number of homes sold would in most cases put a "buyer" in the drivers seat, allowing them to offer less than asking price on homes that have been on the market for longer periods of time. So, what should you take away from the January 2014 Inside the Beltline Raleigh NC Real Estate market update? It's a great time to buy and sell! I know that sounds very cliche and what you would expect to hear from a Realtor, but honestly, with rates continuing to be decent, a slight slow down in the number of competing buyers and a clear reduction in inventory, this market seems to be a win-win for both buyers and sellers within the Raleigh NC Real Estate market.
